SSJE: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John

February 11, 2018

During Lent, I’ll be participating in the on-line devotional: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John from the Brothers of The Society of Saint John the Evangelist, an Episcopal Monastery in Cambridge, MA.

I’ll provide the link to the video and transcript each day, as well as a short reflection of my own. These will start today and continue through March 24. Please consider joining the conversation each day on how you meet Jesus!

This week the topic is God Is Love and Br. Curtis Almquist shares about God’s unconditional and unwavering love.

I have had periods in my life where I wandered away from God particularly during my college years when I didn’t attend church or read the Bible. God was still pursuing me even if I didn’t recognize Him. Since then, my life has been pierced with God’s love most strongly during my cancer diagnosis in 2006, but also when I realized that I am so loved that I can love others without asking for anything in return.

Today’s question: How have you experienced God’s love today?

Here’s the link to the video: God Is Love: http://meetingjesusinjohn.org/2018/01/01/week-1-day-1-god-is-love/. You can also print a copy of the prayer journal at: http://meetingjesusinjohn.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meeting-Jesus-Printable.pdf

Blessings, my friend,
Agatha
