Love and Thankfulness

May 16, 2016

It has been a tough few weeks for me and people close to me. Challenges at work, personally, and spiritually that have rocked my community.

As we seek to regain our footing, we find that our footing has never been lost. We are still on solid ground handed down through the ages.

In conversations, two themes emerge: LOVE WINS, and START WITH THANKFULNESS.

These two phrases have propelled me through these past weeks. I believe that LOVE DOES WIN, regardless of the evil in the world, or the sorrow in our communities, the battle has already been won. On Pentecost Sunday yesterday, I felt the Spirit moving again among us.

A good friend reminded me that we have to START WITH THANKFULNESS. If we start as the victim or from a position of entitlement, we can never appreciate the wonderful gifts that we have been given, and they are all gifts. There is nothing that I have that I deserve.

The Holy Spirit renews our energies and empowers us to go and do even greater things.

We need to remember each morning: START WITH THANKFULNESS and LOVE WINS.

Blessings, my friend,
Agatha
