SSJE: Jesus, the Savior

February 22, 2018

Today’s Question: What does “Jesus is Savior” mean to you?

In today’s video, Br. Jim Woodrum shares about his musical career and a friend’s challenge about how much of his success was his doing. Br. Jim admits that he worked hard and practiced long hours, but there were people who encouraged him and allowed his gifts to flourish. He is quick to point out that when we are born, our first act is to cry out for help and that cry for help really never goes away.

In my prayer journal today, I underlined the first part of the Scripture, “And we have seen and do testify…….that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world.”

I know and have seen that Jesus has saved me from a wretched, fallen world. Where I fall short is in the “testifying” part. The question for me today is “how can I be more bold in my testifying to the help that Jesus has given me?” “Who should I share this good news with?”
