It was when Jesus healed the paralytic that the crowds were in awe: "Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.’” (Luke 5:25-26)
My new book, Chasing My Father was released last week and it includes a story from a modern-day healing event in 2011. My church holds a service in December each year called: SILENT NIGHT: A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE, HOPE AND HEALING.
It was in January 2012 that I received the anonymous email through my blog telling of the healing that had occurred that night. A visitor had come to the healing service for some quiet during the busyness of the Christmas season. But instead of sitting quietly, they were healed of their afflictions and wanted to tell someone about the freedom they experienced.
Will you join us this year?
The Annual Healing Service will be at 6PM on Sunday, December 15th in the Sanctuary at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Nashville, TN.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Please invite family and friends, particularly those who may have lost a loved one this year, or are feeling lonely during this time of weariness and frantic activity.
You can sit quietly and listen to the hymns, light a candle of remembrance, and come forward for healing prayer if you desire.
This is a sacred space where we can acknowledge our losses of this past year but also recognize the hope we have as Christians.
During this time of overwhelming glitz, don’t we all long for one hour where we can rest in the peace and quiet of the Holy Spirit?
Will you join me at this service to begin the healing process? We will be in awe and see remarkable things happen once again.
Blessings, my friend,
Agatha
