Santiago de Compostela
We made it to Santiago. Each one of us had different reasons for attempting the journey but all of us wanted to be closer to God in our own way. It will take weeks or months to process what we heard, felt, saw and smelled along this journey and how each step has helped us grow in our faith.
Although we were tired upon our arrival, we stood in a long line to hug the statue of St. James and visit his crypt at the Cathedral. The hug is a tradition like you would hug a friend who has invited you to his house for conversation and a meal.
This photo is inside the Cathedral as you go up the steps to hug the massive statue of St. James upon the completion of your journey.
Blessings, my friend,
Agatha
